AP-850 Cognitive Radio
The AP-850 is a modern Cognitive Radio facilitating advanced AI-powered Radio Resource Management (AI-RRM) to support operations in an increasingly complex and competitive electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) environment. As an intelligent, software-defined radio system, the AP-850 continuously monitors its radio environment and adapts to dynamic spectrum conditions in real-time.
The AP-850 features a powerful 1024-core GPU capable of 157 TOPS and 16 GB of RAM (LPDDR5). This cognitive radio integrates CCX Technologies’ EC-100 and EC-101 Wideband Software defined radios for demanding connectivity and security operations.
Applications
Dynamic Spectrum Access
The AP-850 facilitates intelligent spectrum monitoring to assess spectrum usage and identify holes between primary users. Other users can occupy these holes with their own transmissions for improved spectrum efficiency. With the help of AI/ML, these optimizations in spectrum usage can be made autonomously in real-time for instant allocation of unused resources.
Anomaly Detection
The AP-850 hosts powerful AI/ML tools which can observe EMS activity and recognize usage patterns in relation to time, date, location, and more. EMS traffic can be intelligently monitored and alerts can be generated when deviations or anomalies are detected. This cognitive radio supports autonomous responses and remediation to these alerts, including Human-in-the-Loop, Human-on-the-Loop, or Human-out-of-the-Loop approaches.
Signal Identification
The AP-850 Cognitive Radio supports intelligent EMS Signal Identification for detecting and cataloguing transmissions. AI/ML applications running on the AP-850 can perform automatic modulation classification to determine the modulation type of a signal; Demodulation of the signal can then be performed. These applications can also classify the signal’s type (WiFi, 5G, bluetooth, etc.). The transmitter of a signal can also be determined through RF fingerprinting.
